Progressive and Heavy Collection

The Progressive & Heavy Collection from XLN Audio bundles two premium drum kits and two MIDI groove packs for producers of progressive and modern heavy music. Recorded by metal producer David Castillo, the Progressive Metal and Modern Heavy ADpaks each feature dual kick drums for authentic double-kick patterns, with the Progressive Metal kit captured on Waltteri Väyrynen’s (Opeth) own Pearl Reference Pure setup—dual 22″ kicks, brass and steel snares, and a wide range of Sabian cymbals. The two MIDIpaks add grooves from Väyrynen’s intricate progressive structures and Dylan Watson’s hard-hitting beats, giving you ready-made patterns that feel natural and musical. Whether you need brute force or nuanced detail, these sounds suit metal, progressive, and heavy rock productions. Ideal for hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic who want studio-proven heavy drums without complex setup.
