HoRNet TapeLite is a free tape saturation plugin that brings the musical non-linearity of magnetic tape to your mixes. Modeled after the classic Otari MX80, it adds harmonic distortion, gentle compression, and subtle frequency shaping to glue your tracks together. Choose between 15 IPS for a warmer, fatter tone with rolled-off highs and a stronger low-end bump, or 30 IPS for a brighter, tighter, more transparent character. The Bias control adjusts the magnetization current for creamier or darker textures, while the Mix knob enables parallel processing to retain transient detail. Use Input and Output for gain staging and level-matched A/B comparisons. Fixed 4x oversampling ensures pristine audio quality.
