Alien Drive

Alien Drive by Rave Generation is a wavetable waveshaper and distortion plugin that moves beyond fixed clipping. It reads your signal through a bank of 256 curves, letting you pick a curve family with Curve X and adjust its sharpness with Curve Y. Push Fold Gain past noon and the signal folds back on itself, generating harmonics a clipper can’t. A germanium diode overdrive with a tunable tone band sits before the shaper, while a shelving EQ with resonant peak sits after. An envelope follower walks the wavetable with your transients, and a tempo-locked LFO with seven destinations adds rhythmic movement. Use it for weight on a kick, metallic ringing, rhythmic folding, or deliberate aliasing. It suits producers exploring experimental distortion, sound design, and electronic genres where character and movement matter.
