ShapeShifter is a character compressor and dynamics remodeler that combines multi-band upward and downward compression to reshape the tone, body, and grit of your tracks. A single Ratio control governs both compression directions, while the Transients section offers separate Ratio and Threshold for downward compression, and the Floor control tames room noise or unwanted ambience via upward compression. Attack and Release shape the envelope, Tone shifts overall color, and Drive (with gentle A and hard B models) adds saturation. Asymmetry introduces even-order harmonics for harsher textures, and a Dry/Wet mixer enables parallel processing. It ships with 64 factory presets and a custom preset system. Version 1.1 adds left/right preset arrows and a category label. Suitable for hobby producers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows or macOS, ShapeShifter works on drums, vocals, and full mixes—from subtle vibe boosts to aggressive, blown-open distortion. Formats include VST3, AU, and AAX at 64-bit.
