TheUtility is a free VST3/AU plugin designed to simplify wet/dry signal blending in your mix. It provides two separate inputs: Main for the wet signal (connect after an effect) and Aux for the dry signal (connect before the effect), then lets you balance them with dedicated controls. You can adjust wet and dry volumes independently, set the overall mix percentage, and switch between wet and dry for quick A/B comparison. The plugin also includes a Complement mode that replaces the wet signal with its difference from the dry (Dry minus Wet), useful for hearing exactly what an effect adds. Polarity inversion is available per channel, and panning can be linked or inverted between wet and dry. Three parameter modes (Wet-Dry, Wet-Mix, Wet-A/B) let you choose which pair of controls to tweak.
