Platone Studio Swiss Saturator is a multiband saturation and distortion effect for adding colour, weight, or aggressive grit to samples and recordings. It suits hobby producers who want to shape distortion across different frequency ranges rather than apply the same treatment to an entire sound.
The plugin divides processing into low, mid, and high bands, each with an identical set of controls. DRIV, PHAT, and CRUS offer three different approaches to distortion, letting you combine their character to suit the material in each band. You can keep one range relatively restrained while pushing another harder, moving from subtle saturation to more heavily distorted textures.
Each band also includes Solo, Mute, and Bypass buttons. These help you hear individual ranges, check what the processing contributes, or remove a band from the output while experimenting with a sound.
