Toxic is a free dual-filter effect plugin from SoundRave, created for the KVR Developer Challenge 2026. It gives you two filters that can run in series or parallel, each switchable between analog-style and digital-style characters, with types including lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, peak, all-pass, comb, buzz, and formant. Three drive stages (input, mid, and output) offer saturation, clipping, foldback, tape, crunch, bitcrush, and decimation for shaping density around the filters. Modulation comes from two LFOs (free or tempo-synced, with many shapes like sine, triangle, saw, square, pulse, sample & hold, Perlin, stepped, and more), an envelope follower with detailed controls, and three macros for performance. The interface has Expert and Perform modes, plus modulation arcs that show movement. It is aimed at hobby producers and sound designers using FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows or Mac who want animated filter effects without spending money. The plugin is not a clone of any hardware; it simply borrows a workflow idea for creative processing.
