Native Instruments Cremona Quartet is a sampled string instrument collection for Kontakt, built around four historic instruments: Amati Viola, Guarneri Violin, Stradivari Cello, and Stradivari Violin. It gives producers access to solo string sounds for melodic parts, layered arrangements, and small ensemble writing.

The collection uses phase-aligned stereo recordings, vibrato captured from live performances, and detailed chromatic sampling across 20 articulations. These elements, together with adjustable performance parameters, help you shape phrasing and expression rather than relying on a single static string sound. It suits hobby producers and composers who want expressive acoustic strings in their Kontakt-based workflow.

This 65 MB Windows package contains updates only, not the complete libraries. It includes version 1.0.1 updates for Amati Viola, Guarneri Violin, and Stradivari Cello, plus version 1.1.3 for Stradivari Violin. The listed changes improve the vibrato impulse response and fix samples reloading after a restart in purged NKI instruments. The Stradivari Violin update also addresses snapshots that failed to load correctly in Maschine and Komplete. Existing installations of the corresponding libraries are required.
