Open Keys is a MIDI processing tool that reshapes incoming notes using a rule-based probabilistic engine. Instead of a fixed arpeggiator or scale lock, it lets you remap pitch according to adjustable rules: choose how many notes change, how far they drift, and how long the cycle repeats. You can control how strictly notes stay within a selected key and scale, then introduce ideas borrowed from open guitar tunings—unison copies, parallel motion, or inverted direction—with set probabilities. Randomize the active pattern or nudge individual parameters within boundaries you define, and use the edit section to draw notes, tweak pitches, or freeze regions while you keep experimenting. Up to 48 presets can be saved per file and moved between projects. It runs on Windows and fits FL Studio, Ableton, and Logic users who want to break out of familiar melodic patterns. The plugin activates offline, so no internet connection is needed. Ideal for hobby producers exploring generative MIDI ideas.
