Puremagnetik Parsec is a spatial audio effect for placing and moving sounds within a perceived three-dimensional stereo space. Rather than relying on left-to-right panning alone, it combines tiny phase shifts with filtering to shape a sound’s apparent position across X, Y and Z coordinates. You can set a specific location or use modulation to create shifting, unpredictable movement.

Parsec offers two listening approaches: spatial processing for studio speakers and a binaural mode intended for headphones. The binaural option uses HRTF processing to encode perceived positions and movement paths, making it useful for experimental sound design, foley work and game audio. Music producers can also use it to explore animated textures and spatial effects beyond conventional stereo placement.

This Windows version is aimed at creators who want to experiment with positioning as part of their effects workflow. Note the sample-rate restriction before adding it to a project: Parsec runs only at 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz or 96 kHz because of its HRTF processing.
