ROLI Equator2 is a hybrid synthesizer for Windows that combines wavetable, granular, multisample and noise sources in one sound-design instrument. Its six flexible source slots let you layer different synthesis methods, making it useful for hobby producers and sound designers building electronic textures, expressive leads or sample-based patches.

The included material spans 244 wavetables and 42 multisampled instruments, with 220 articulations and variations covering vintage synths and acoustic instruments. You can also drag in your own samples to give patches a more personal starting point.

For movement and performance control, Equator2 provides envelopes, LFOs, expression curves, macros and additional modulation modules, with click-and-drag assignments. Filters, flexible signal routing and 12 effect slots help you shape and finish sounds within the instrument.

A library of over 1,400 presets offers starting points for both MPE playing and conventional MIDI controllers. Whether you prefer browsing ready-made sounds or assembling patches from individual sources, Equator2 suits producers who want several synthesis approaches in a single plugin.
