nakst Regency is a free phase distortion synthesizer for producers who enjoy building sounds with editable curves and detailed modulation. Its two generator layers each use three multi-segment curves to reshape phase in sequence, with modulation controlling how strongly each stage affects the sound. It suits hobby producers looking to explore synthesis beyond familiar subtractive workflows.
A four-mode ladder filter handles tonal shaping, while four envelopes, three multi-segment LFOs and two math modulators provide movement. The math modulators can transform other modulation signals, and a six-slot matrix adds routing options alongside each modulator’s own assignment slots.
For processing, Regency includes three reorderable effect slots with six choices: bitcrusher, flanger, pattern delay, trancegate, delay line and five-band EQ. You can also repeat an effect within the chain. There are 64 factory patches for starting points, plus MTS-ESP tuning support.
On Windows, Regency runs as a CLAP plugin or an FL Studio native instrument. Compatible CLAP hosts can access features such as polyphonic modulation. Windows 7 64-bit or newer and 1 GB of RAM are required.
