Viator DSP Vox Amp is a free distortion effect built for aggressive vocal processing, with controls that also make it useful on other audio sources. It suits home producers who want to add grit, emphasize harmonics, or blend a distorted layer beneath a cleaner recording.

The Drive control feeds the parallel distortion circuit with up to 50 dB of gain. Range sets the cutoff above which frequencies enter the distortion processing, giving you control over which part of the sound gets treated. A low-pass filter helps soften harsh highs or create a darker, lo-fi tone.

Mix balances the dry and distorted signals, while Trim adjusts the wet signal level independently of the master Output control. HQ mode enables 4x oversampling to reduce aliasing, and a Phase switch reverses signal polarity. Hover tooltips explain the controls, and a settings panel lets you customize the interface colors.
