Psychic Modulation MondoMelt is a lo-fi tape effect for producers who want worn cassette texture, drifting pitch and rougher edges without a complicated setup. Drawing on the sound-shaping approach of Echomelt3, it brings tonal control and unstable tape-style movement into a compact interface.

A three-band EQ lets you adjust the frequency balance before feeding the signal into saturation, with additional shaping available for more aggressive distortion. The Damper control rolls back high frequencies to create a darker, aged sound. Wow, Flutter and Dropout introduce pitch wander and degraded playback character, ranging from gentle tape imperfections to more unsettled VHS-like fluctuations.

A single-knob chorus adds a wider stereo texture to those modulations, while the Mondo control pushes several parts of the processing further for less predictable results.
