Cataclysm is a signal destruction plugin that draws inspiration from faulty test gear, covert wiretaps, and vintage analog circuits. It offers a Central Drive module with waveshaping, gating, and tone controls, plus a Tone Circuitry section that models three classic guitar amps in a deliberately imperfect way. A two-voice pitch shifter, lofi looper with Tape, BBD, and Data mediums, and a low-frequency hum oscillator add character. You also get a stereo chorus with bass preservation, amplitude modulation for tremolo and ring mod, an envelope follower that can modulate Drive, Resonator, and Hum, a delay-based stereo resonator, and a stereo delay with the same three recording mediums. A global mix control and an instructional computer display help you navigate. With 92 factory presets, Cataclysm is aimed at hobby producers and sound designers who want to add grit, instability, and experimental textures to their tracks. It runs as VST3 or AAX on Windows.
