The VQP-258A handles low- and high-frequency shelving, with selectable frequencies and independent cut/boost controls for each band. Its modeled inductor circuitry adds subtle coloration, while interaction between the bands creates distinctive response curves.

The companion VQP-259A focuses on high- and low-cut filtering. Its wide frequency range makes it useful for clearing unwanted bass rumble or reducing excessive top-end energy.
