Toontrack Fields Of Rock SDX Library Update v1.0.3

Toontrack Fields of Rock SDX Library Update v1.0.3 is a Windows update for a rock-focused drum sample expansion, rather than a standalone instrument. The underlying library gives producers seven acoustic drum kits, additional cymbals and percussion for tracks ranging from ’70s-inspired rock to heavier contemporary styles.

Recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales by producer and engineer Tom Dalgety with drummer Mat Hector, the collection offers three distinct drum environments. The Live Room provides a lively, reflective sound, the Dry Room delivers tighter, dampened tones, and the Stone Room adds another natural room character. Separate percussion content includes rototoms, congas, bongos, shakers and sampled everyday objects.

Vintage microphones, outboard equipment and 14 channels of hardware tape emulation shaped the recordings. Multiple ambience and character microphones provide further tonal choices, while Dalgety’s rock-oriented presets offer starting points for mixing. Kit-specific MIDI patterns and dedicated percussion grooves support songwriting and arrangement.

It suits hobby producers seeking acoustic rock drums with contrasting room sounds. The listed 244.3 MB download is the update package, not the complete sample library.
