Sonnox Oxford EQ – HDX brings the equalisation heritage of the Sony OXF-R3 console to detailed mixing and mastering work. Its five parametric bands and variable-slope high-pass and low-pass filters let you remove unwanted frequencies, reshape individual tracks and refine a full mix. Four distinct EQ types cover precise, clinical adjustments, tighter corrective cuts, classic console-style shaping and broad, gentle mastering curves. With transparent sound and ultra-low noise and distortion, it suits producers who want clean control without sacrificing musical flexibility. The interactive interface keeps adjustments straightforward, while an automatable A/B button helps you compare settings as the track plays. For Pro Tools HD and HDX users, the optional GML expansion adds a fifth type modelled on the GML-8200, including centre frequencies up to 26 kHz for airy top-end shaping.
