BitCrusher

Stagecraft Software BitCrusher turns clean audio into gritty, reduced-resolution textures, with bit-depth and sample-rate reduction for roughening drums, synths and loops. Its additional filter section lets you blend filtered noise into your mix, ranging from full-spectrum white noise to pink noise and shades in between. An LFO sweeps the noise filter, adding movement to static sounds and opening up possibilities for evolving textures and transitions. Automatable noise, rate reduction, bit depth and wet/dry controls let you shape changes throughout a track rather than settle for one fixed setting. A colourful interface includes stereo field visualization, while online preset sharing lets you exchange settings with other users. It suits producers who enjoy lo-fi colour, abrasive processing and animated noise effects.
