BFD Modern Retro

BFD Modern Retro is a drum expansion for BFD3 that brings the punch and character of late-90s and early-2000s kits into your productions. Recorded by Chocolate Audio, its 72 instruments include a 1997 Sonor Designer kit, a late-90s Tama Starclassic, Ludwig and Tama snares, and cymbals and hi-hats from several leading makers. Stick performances sit alongside hotrod and brush options on selected instruments, while plastic and felt kick beaters offer contrasting attacks. With up to 300 samples per kick and snare articulation, the library provides detailed, expressive performances. Four direct kick microphones plus two sets of overhead and room microphones give you scope to shape attack, space and depth. Mix-ready presets provide starting points for pop and rock, making this expansion a useful choice for producers seeking focused acoustic drums with plenty of tonal flexibility. Requires BFD3.
