Struck Grand Piano

Soundiron Struck Grand Piano transforms a 1926 Steinway Model L into an expressive prepared piano instrument for Kontakt. Across more than 4,000 samples and the full 88-key range, it captures mallet strikes, muted strings, plucks, steel slides, scrapes and ringing harmonics. The result moves from deep, rumbling percussion to bright, delicate tones with a zither-like character. Blend up to 12 articulation layers with the Layer Builder, or create flowing string gestures using the Gliss/Strum Creator’s chord constraints, direction controls and dynamic sequencing. Atmospheric pads, tonal drones and evolving soundscapes expand its cinematic palette, while automatable modulation, EQ, filters and reverb provide further shaping. It suits producers and composers looking for unusual melodic textures, suspense cues or tactile acoustic percussion. This 9 GB library requires the full retail version of Native Instruments Kontakt 4.2.4 or later.
