Cassette Piano.02 Multi Format Bundle

Cassette Piano.02 Multi Format Bundle by THEPHONOLOOP turns an imperfect upright piano into a characterful, tape-flavoured instrument. Recorded in a ballet training room, its stereo and mono samples capture the piano’s natural quirks before passing through four cassette decks. The results range from relatively steady, clean tones to noisy textures with pronounced pitch drift—ideal for mellow hip-hop, nostalgic melodies and atmospheric arrangements. Carefully reduced sample noise helps keep chords from becoming cluttered, while a separate noise control lets you dial texture back in. The Kontakt version adds two independent LFOs, amplitude, filter and pitch envelopes, plus convolution reverb with custom spring, hall and corridor impulses. Adjustable sample start lets you soften the initial attack for further sound shaping. It suits producers who want an expressive piano with worn-in personality rather than concert-hall polish.
