Soundiron UFO 61 is a sample-based Kontakt instrument built around a thick analog sound, captured in a dry studio with paired Neumann TLM 103 microphones. Per-key sustain and staccato recordings provide the foundation for punchy phrases, sustained layers and experimental textures. Two main instrument presets offer controls for attack, release, swell, vibrato and pitch glide, alongside an LFO, filter and arpeggiator. Switch between polyphonic playing and monophonic legato, or blend in upper and lower octave doubling for extra weight. For deeper exploration, 20 sound-designed FX and ambient presets join a multi-effects rack featuring distortion, delay, modulation and convolution reverb with 119 impulses. It suits hobby producers looking for characterful sampled tones with plenty of shaping options. UFO 61 requires the full version of Kontakt 5.5 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it only in limited demo mode.
