Saturate

Newfangled Audio Saturate is a spectral clipping and saturation effect for adding weight, edge and intensity to individual tracks or full mixes. Built around the clipping algorithm used in the Elevate Mastering Limiter, it offers up to 24 dB of overdrive while preserving tonal balance, helping quieter midrange and high-frequency detail stay audible alongside strong bass. The Shape control moves smoothly from gentle soft clipping to hard clipping, while Symmetry introduces even harmonics for a richer character. Independent input and output controls, automatic output scaling and an adjustable ceiling help you manage levels as you push the signal. A saturation curve display, peak and RMS metering, and an anti-aliasing mode support precise adjustments. It suits home producers who want anything from subtle mix thickening to assertive track distortion without the muddy character heavy saturation can introduce.
