Black Q – V3 by Tone Empire is a tube EQ plugin that combines flexible tone shaping with characterful analog-style saturation. Its modeled circuitry draws on vintage valves and two transformer-based signal paths, taking your sound from smooth and polished to gritty and driven. Choose Type A for a fuller tone with substantial low-end weight, or Type B for a crunchier character that emphasizes mids and highs. Version 3 adds overlapping EQ bands and revised frequency ranges, while selectable oversampling up to 8x offers more analog-like behavior at a higher CPU cost. Use it to add body to drums and bass, shape vocals and piano, or bring color to synths, strings and mastering chains.
