Newmello Collection

Wavesfactory Newmello Collection brings Mellotron-inspired character to Kontakt through 75 instrument patches recorded onto lo-fi cassette tape. Rather than sampling an original Mellotron M400, Wavesfactory recreated its approach with custom recordings, giving flutes, strings, brass, guitars and basses a worn, nostalgic texture. Combining Newmello I, II and III, the collection suits producers looking for retro melodies, hazy arrangements and vintage-flavoured layers in indie, psychedelic or cinematic tracks. Blend between two tape decks, adjust tape noise, shape attack and release, and balance the tone with a tilt-style EQ. A flexible effects section lets you arrange EQ, compression, modulation, saturation, amp simulation and reverb in your preferred order, with more than 40 custom impulse responses available for convolution reverb. Newmello Collection requires the full version of Kontakt 5.7.3 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it only in demo mode.
