TAPED: Swayed Keys

TAPED: Swayed Keys by KLANG blends a classic electric stage piano with the warmth and instability of real tape processing. Saturation, wow and flutter give the keys a gently worn character, while a layered, grainy vibraphone adds metallic texture. The result is an electric piano instrument with a nostalgic edge, suited to mellow chord progressions, atmospheric melodies and parts that need a little imperfection rather than a polished finish. A balance control adjusts the grainy layer and can be linked to the mod wheel for expressive changes as you play. Tremolo and tone controls help refine the movement and colour, with phaser, distortion, delay and reverb offering further shaping. It’s a good fit for producers exploring lo-fi, chilled beats or vintage-inspired arrangements who want textured keys with hands-on control.
