Clavi Twin ’78

Soundiron Clavi Twin ’78 brings the character of a well-worn Hohner Clavinet Pianet Duo into a detailed Kontakt instrument. Blend the Clavinet’s biting, guitar-like attack with the Pianet’s contrasting keyboard tone for funky riffs, bass parts and layered arrangements. All 60 keys were sampled with four velocity layers and four round robins per note, while adjustable release sounds and key clicks help preserve the original instrument’s mechanical personality. Wide stereo and direct-input recordings offer different perspectives on its vintage sound. Beyond classic keyboard duties, 20 source-derived ambience patches and 20 custom FX and ambient presets open up atmospheric scoring and experimental textures. Multi-layer controls, an arpeggiator, LFO, filter, glide and an effects rack with convolution reverb provide further shaping options. It suits producers and composers seeking expressive vintage keys for funk, psychedelic rock or unconventional soundtrack work.
