Multiplex Vocoder 3 by Digital Brain Instruments turns your voice or recorded audio into layered vocoder textures for music production and sound design. This 64-bit standalone application processes an input through up to four vocoders simultaneously, using VST/AU instruments as carrier signals. Shape robotic vocals, evolving layers and experimental sounds with pitch shifting, reverse playback and adjustable sample playback speed. Input-dependent thresholds let individual vocoder outputs switch on or off as the source level changes, adding movement to your processing. Cross-morph between vocoder outputs or blend dry and processed signals, then shape the result through a master rack with three VST/AU plugin slots. MIDI control and Autokey support different playing workflows, while separate source and layer recording make it useful for producers who want to capture sounds for further arrangement.
