Tapes M400 captures the raw, unmistakable character of the early 1970s Mellotron M400 in a dedicated instrument library. It focuses on the three most iconic tape sounds—Strings, Choir and Flutes—each chromatically sampled across the full keyboard and recorded for the complete length of every tape. You can play them the classic way or loop them for sustained textures. Five effects recreate that vintage ’70s vibe: Chorus, Rotator, Tape Delay, Reverb and 11 cabinet types. A menu page puts reverb and delay sends, high-pass and low-pass filters, attack and release, pitch-bend amount, mechanical noise and stereo width right at your fingertips. With 280 MB of 48 kHz/24-bit samples, Tapes M400 suits producers and composers chasing authentic, slightly unstable tape character for ambient, psychedelic, film score or retro pop productions—and anyone who wants classic Mellotron sounds with modern sound-design flexibility.
