Teletronix LA-3A Audio Leveler

The Teletronix LA-3A Audio Leveler plug-in from Universal Audio recreates the iconic solid-state optical compressor that has been a secret weapon for engineers since 1969. Offering faster limiting than the LA-2A and the clarity of the 1176, it delivers bold, mid-forward compression that pushes sounds to the front of your mix. Use it on vocals, guitars, synths, and drums to add attitude and presence. The HF Emphasis sidechain filter lets you punch up drum buses without the kick triggering the threshold, while the Dry/Wet Mix control enables quick parallel compression on synth or piano tracks. Modeled from UA’s vintage collection, this plug-in captures the rare hardware’s unique tone and is perfect for hobby producers seeking pro-level dynamics control in any DAW.
