CineBrass Descant Horn

CineBrass Descant Horn from Cinesamples captures the unique voice of a dual-bore Bb/High F descant horn, delivering a lighter, more agile upper register than a standard French horn. Its seamless transition between bores gives you a rich, royal tone that stays consistent from middle C upward, while the high register sounds less strident and more delicate. Ideal for film, TV, and orchestral scores, this instrument excels when you need soft, expressive high horn lines that would be difficult or strained on a regular horn. The lower register is shallower by design, so it’s best used for its sweet spot: soaring, nuanced melodies. Perfect for composers and producers seeking authentic, expressive brass for cinematic projects.
