Dulcimer and Zither

Dulcimer & Zither from Cinesamples is a sample library that brings the delicate, resonant tones of these traditional string instruments into your DAW. Designed with input from film composers, it focuses on usability and a polished, mix-ready sound that sits naturally in a mix without heavy processing. The recordings were captured at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena, a room with a rich history of film and TV scoring. The result is a versatile instrument that excels at adding texture, character, and a touch of folk or world color to cinematic scores, ambient tracks, and singer-songwriter productions. It’s ideal for hobby producers who want expressive, professionally recorded strings that are easy to play and blend seamlessly into their music. Whether you’re layering melodies or creating atmospheric beds, this library delivers a refined sound with minimal effort.
