BlueAsh SC-5

The BlueAsh SC-5 is a meticulous emulation of a classic 70s American VCA compressor, capturing the character of the original blue-faced unit. This plugin excels at everything from gentle master bus glue to aggressive, distorted drum bus smashing. Its fixed-threshold design means you increase input gain to drive the compression, and the auto gain compensation feature (right-drag the input knob) keeps output levels consistent. Authentic circuit modeling—including the custom VCA, dual time-constant detector, and feedback loop—delivers the authentic tone and feel of the hardware. With SSE2-optimized code and auto-adjusted oversampling, it runs efficiently while preserving audio transparency. HighDPI/Retina support ensures a crisp interface on modern displays. Whether you’re sweetening a mix, taming dynamic performances, or adding grit to drums, the SC-5 offers versatile compression with a pleasing, characteristic sound. Ideal for hobby producers seeking analog vibe in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic.
