Sitarion is a Kontakt-based virtual electric sitar library that captures the expressive depth of a custom instrument built by luthier Sanjay Rikhi Ram Sharma and sampled by Chithrinie Nirupama. It offers deeply multi-sampled plucks with six velocity layers and twelve round robins per note, plus resonant and Chikari strings. Ornamental articulations like hammer-ons, meends (slides and bends) in semitone and whole-tone varieties, and krinthans add authentic Indian phrasing with multiple dynamics and speeds. Over 3000 live performance phrases across six BPMs and six roots provide instant inspiration. The flexible GUI includes real-time articulation selection, key-switch and mapping options, an arpeggiator, phrase sequencer, LFO system, 12 filter types, and a modular FX rack with 27 DSP modules. Ideal for producers seeking exotic, cinematic, or world-music textures in film scores, electronic tracks, or ambient compositions.
