Gain-dependent Q and slope behavior keeps subtle moves smooth and makes stronger boosts or cuts more selective. The split-octave filters transition from 12 dB/oct near the cutoff to a maximum 24 dB/oct slope, helping tidy up unwanted lows and highs. Analog saturation modeling adds character, while McDSP’s anti-clip output stage prevents digital clipping and produces a smoother distortion response.
