A-Type Multiband Dynamic Enhancer

The A-Type Multiband Dynamic Enhancer from Universal Audio recreates the vintage multiband compansion processor once used in major studios, now available as a DAW plugin. It delivers the famous Air, Excite, and Expand effects that added presence and top-end sizzle to vocals and instruments on classic records. Beyond emulation, it offers Crush and Gated modes for gritty analog texture or punchy ’80s-style gated drums. A circuit mods panel expands the original design with multiband gains, crossovers, ratio, knee, attack controls, and sidechain filtering, letting you shape transients and subharmonics. Originally built as a precision decoding tool for tape transfers, its accurate modeling ensures authentic results on any source. Ideal for hobby producers seeking to push vocals forward, add sparkle to mixes, or experiment with creative dynamics, this enhancer suits those working in FL Studio, Ableton, or Logic on Windows.
