Abstract Vibes by Karanyi Sounds is a Kontakt vibraphone instrument that blends acoustic detail with synth textures and atmospheric layers. Built from a Yamaha Concert Vibraphone recorded in a dry Budapest studio, it delivers crisp attacks, resonant tones and unconventional colors created with sticks, string bow and brushes. Multiple velocity layers and close and mid microphone recordings give the sampled performances depth and definition, while analogue synth sublayers, tape, dimension and space effects let you move beyond traditional mallet sounds. Use it for melodic hooks in electronic tracks, delicate passages in film scores or textured soundscapes. Performed by Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra percussionist Nandor Weisz, the library suits producers and composers seeking both natural vibraphone character and more experimental timbres. MIDI-learnable controls support hands-on shaping, including tremolo adjustment. Designed for Kontakt 5.8.1 or later.
