Alan ViSTa – Marimbaphonic x64 x32 VST AU WiN OSX

Marimbaphonic is a free sampled marimba instrument for Windows and macOS, available as VST and AU. It uses 122 mono 24-bit samples sourced from the University of Iowa Electronic Music Studios public domain library, arranged in two velocity layers for expressive dynamics. The samples are gently spread across the stereo field, giving a natural, wide keyboard image. You get control over release time and amplitude dynamic range, plus a main volume and a basic reverb for adding space. It’s a straightforward, lightweight plugin (about 32 MB) that works in popular DAWs like FL Studio, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro. Because it’s sample-based and focused on one instrument, it’s ideal for hobby producers who need a realistic marimba sound for pop, film scoring, or world music without spending money. It loads quickly and is easy on CPU, making it a practical choice for sketching ideas or adding acoustic color to electronic tracks.
