Analog Obsession AHEAD is a free guitar amp simulation effect that brings four amplifier models into a single interface. Built for guitarists and home producers who want amp-style gain and tone shaping inside their DAW, it includes one M-Type model, two F-Type models and a custom amp design.
Use the red button to switch models, then adjust the Volume controls to set gain and drive. Most models use one Volume knob; M-JTAMP uses both. An M-Type tone stack handles tonal adjustment, while the Master Volume controls the output level. You can bypass processing with either the footswitch or the AHEAD label. Oversampling is not included.
The interface scales from 50% to 200% using a corner handle. To keep your preferred size for new instances, resize it before adjusting controls and save that state as your DAW’s default preset.
The Windows version supports Windows 10–11, requires OpenGL-capable graphics and comes in VST3 and AAX formats, with Native and AudioSuite support listed for AAX. Use VST3 in compatible hosts such as FL Studio or Ableton Live.
