Analog Obsession BUSTERse v7.0 is a free stereo compressor with classic console-style dynamics and detailed sidechain shaping. It suits hobby producers who want to control peaks, tighten drum buses, or add cohesion to grouped tracks without giving up hands-on control.

Choose from stepped attack, release, and ratio settings, including automatic release, then adjust threshold and makeup gain to set the compression level. A dry/wet mix control makes parallel compression possible within the plugin.

The sidechain filter section includes a 20–500 Hz high-pass filter, midrange adjustment, and high-frequency attenuation, letting you change which frequencies drive compression. Its transient section uses Boost, Tilt, and Mix controls to make the detector more responsive to attacks in a chosen frequency range. External sidechain support also lets you apply these tools to an incoming trigger signal.

Turbo mode broadens the compressor’s response beyond its usual mid-focused behavior, while switchable input/output transformer modeling changes its character. Oversampling and a resizable interface round out the feature set. On Windows 10–11, BUSTERse is available in VST3 and AAX formats, with VST3 suitable for FL Studio and Ableton Live.
