Analog Obsession CHANNEV v1.3 is a free channel strip plugin that brings preamp coloration, EQ, dynamics control and tape saturation into one processor. It suits home producers who want to shape vocals, instruments or buses without building a long effects chain.

The mic preamp provides up to 60 dB of virtual gain, plus input trim, a pad and phase inversion. Shelf EQ and high-pass/low-pass filters let you adjust the signal before further processing. A de-esser with Bell and Soft options helps control harsh high frequencies.

For detailed tonal shaping, the four-band, 81-style equalizer offers continuously adjustable frequencies, optional bell curves on the outer bands and Hi-Q settings for the mids. Additional filters are available after the EQ. The 2264-inspired compressor and limiter operate independently, each with its own external sidechain, while the tape saturation stage adds color and cohesion.

Fixed 2x oversampling is intended to limit CPU demands. Windows users get VST and VST3 support for compatible hosts such as FL Studio and Ableton Live; the Mac version also includes AU for Logic Pro.
