Artist Series – Taylor Davis

Artist Series – Taylor Davis is a Kontakt solo violin instrument built around the distinctive playing of American violinist, arranger, and composer Taylor Davis, known for her expressive covers of video game, film, and musical music. Recorded with her handmade 1780s Italian violin, it captures a warm, singing tone suited to cinematic scoring, game soundtracks, pop arrangements, and emotive lead lines. The library’s Seamless Legato performance responds naturally to how you play, with velocity-driven portamento, adjustable legato speed, and optional note shaping for dynamic attacks. You can toggle natural bow changes or extend bow length for sustained passages, and shape dynamics with the Mod Wheel. Articulations include legato sustains, spiccato, marcato, pizzicato, tenuto, and open strings, selectable via keyswitches or menu. A range of reverbs, including Taylor’s custom YouTube tone, plus NKS integration make it a flexible choice for producers seeking an expressive solo violin.
