Audio Damage RoughRider3 v3.3.0 VST VST3 CLAP AU AAX LV2 WiN MAC LiNUX

RoughRider3 is a free character compressor from Audio Damage, originally released in 2008 and still a go-to for coloring drums. Unlike clean, transparent compressors, it adds warmth and attitude, and when you push the ratio knob far enough it can completely crush a signal. The logarithmic ratio ranges from gentle settings all the way to an extreme 1:1000, giving you everything from subtle glue to full-on demolition. Attack and release are adjustable by ear, and there’s a sidechain input with its own high-pass filter for precise triggering. A Full Bandwidth switch removes the warming filter when you want pure compression without the tonal color. It works well on drum buses, synths, basslines, or even a full mix. This plugin is aimed at hobby producers and engineers who want a straightforward, aggressive compressor with obvious sonic character. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux in VST, VST3, CLAP, AU, AAX, and LV2 formats, making it compatible with most major DAWs including FL Studio, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro.
