Axe Machina is a virtual 7-string electric guitar library for Kontakt Player and NKS, built for metal production. Craig Peters sampled his custom Kiesel Aries multi-scale guitar in A Standard, capturing single notes, power chord sustains, palm mutes, pinch harmonics, taps, pick scrapes, fret noise, chokes, rakes, and programmable slides. You get a pure DI signal for use with your favorite amp sims, plus a custom reamped tone crafted with Neural DSP. The flexible interface offers real-time articulation switching, key-switch and mapping options, an arpeggiator, auto-strummer, sequencer, and a modular FX rack with 27 DSP modules across 8 slots. Main presets include all samples and performance features, Lite presets reduce RAM usage, and Simple variations simplify string mapping.
