BFD Cocktail

BFD Cocktail brings the compact Yamaha Hipgig drumkit into BFD3 as an expansion for producers who want an upfront acoustic drum sound. Based on the portable kit developed with drummer Rick Marotta, it captures the character of 7-ply birch/mahogany shells across sounds suited to pop, rock, jazz and funk. The snare includes stick and hot-rod performances, while the kick offers felt and rubber beater options, giving you different textures to match your arrangement. Fifteen presets provide starting points in a range of styles. Recorded under conditions similar to BFD Jazz & Funk, BFD Percussion and BFD3’s Mapleworks kits, Cocktail is also designed to blend with BFD libraries captured elsewhere. It’s a useful addition for BFD3 users building acoustic drum parts, whether you’re sketching a song at home or refining a full production.
