BFD Jazz Noir

BFD Jazz Noir is a drum expansion for BFD3 built around a vintage 1962 Camco Oaklawn kit. Recorded at medium-high tuning with both sticks and brushes, it delivers clear attacks and warm, lingering sustain for jazz, funk and neo-soul productions. The original Camco snare is joined by a 1930s Gretsch Round Badge snare for a lower, fuller voice, while Istanbul cymbals include an expressive 24-inch ride. Four kick recording variations, including damped and open setups, offer useful tonal choices. Snare-wire options and a jazz-friendly stickshot articulation add further playing detail. Direct microphones, stereo and mono room recordings, and a dedicated trash mix channel let you shape the kit from clean and intimate to more saturated. With five kit presets as starting points, Jazz Noir suits producers seeking characterful acoustic drums with flexible mixing control. Requires BFD3.
