Boomwhackers

Boomwhackers by Wavesfactory brings the playful, pitched knock of hollow plastic percussion tubes to Kontakt. Sampled against a rubber surface in a dry studio, its stereo recordings offer a clean starting point for rhythmic hooks, melodic patterns and quirky layered percussion. The library covers C2–C5, with pitch shifting extending the range to five octaves. Five velocity layers and five round-robin variations help repeated notes feel less mechanical. Shape the response with velocity curves, dynamic range, sample start offset and attack/decay controls, or adjust player randomness and stereo spread for ensemble-style parts. Eight effect slots provide EQ, compression, modulation, distortion, amp simulation and reverb for further sound design. It suits producers and composers looking for an unusual alternative to standard mallet sounds. Requires the full version of Kontakt 5.7.3 or later; the free Kontakt Player runs it in demo mode only.
