Cassette Keys.01 – Multi-Format Bundle

Cassette Keys.01 by THEPHONOLOOP is a sampled keyboard instrument built from physical modelling and FM synth tones recorded through an old, unstable cassette recorder. The result brings vintage tape character to melodic parts, chords and experimental textures, making it a useful choice for producers who want something less polished than a conventional digital keyboard. Its C0–E6 range and four velocity layers provide room for expressive playing. Notes are individually de-noised to prevent hiss building up across chords, while a separate noise control lets you blend that texture back in. The multi-format bundle includes versions for Kontakt, Ableton Live, Logic and SFZ players, with features varying by format. Kontakt offers a one-page interface, simulated round robin, reverse and mono modes; Kontakt and Ableton versions each include 30 presets. It suits hobby producers looking for characterful keys and approachable sound shaping.
