Color Play

Color Play by NEST Acoustics is a spectral imprint sampler that lets you shape one sound using the tonal character of another. It analyzes the spectral envelope of any audio you feed it and applies that profile to MIDI-tuned filterbanks, so you can blend field recordings, instrument samples, or your own imports into entirely new hybrid textures. Choose between normal and granular sampler modes, and layer up to eight independent voices for rich, playable sound design. Deep spectral imprint controls let you adjust resolution, harmonic distribution, and dynamics to taste. A built-in FX rack adds saturation, delay, chorus, and reverb for finishing touches. Velocity controls for amplitude, attack, and brightness make it expressive under your fingers. It suits producers exploring ambient, cinematic, electronic, and experimental music, and anyone who wants evolving, otherworldly instruments without complex routing.
